Intraoral incision
To access the anterior and 45 degree zygomaticbody, a transoral gingivobuccal incision is placed
inside the upper lip. Through this incision, the
zygomatic body can be directly visualized for proper
placement of the L-osteotomy, which will allow
precise and direct inward rotation of the anterior and
45 degree zygomatic body.
Sideburn incision
To access the zygomatic arch, a preauricular sideburnincision of approximately 4-5mm is made. This incision
allows direct visualization of the arch for impaction and
precise surgical fixation for unleved stability. The scar
is surgically closed in layers and will fade over time.
